Kimpton Hotels celebrated the grand opening of The Hotel Palomar Atlanta-Midtown.
Marking the occasion with their grand opening party on May 14, 2009 just after the hotel's ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Owners of the Hotel Palomar Atlanta, Beau King and Butch Ross; General Manager Mark Fischer and Kimpton's President and CEO Mike Depatie and COO Niki Leondakis were in attendance of the official opening. Tom Gaffney, Director of Operations for The John Hardy Group was on hand for the event as well. The John Hardy Group was awarded the assignment of providing analytical and Owner's Representation services during the construction of the 304-room luxury hotel.

Designed by the architecture firm of Smallwood, Reynolds, Stewart, Stewart & Associates, the hotel contains 10,000 square feet of meeting space and a signature restaurant. The planning and design work is beginning immediately on this signature property which is located at the corner of West Peachtree and Abercrombie. The completion is expected in early 2009. Hillwood Investments of Dallas and Kim King Associates of Atlanta are the clients for this project.
