Alan joined The Hardy Group in 2023 with 45 years of experience in the industry. As of December 2023, Alan is working on guestroom renovation and social entertainment space at the Westin Maui and the renovation at the Ka’anapali Golf Course inclusive of the rest stop and maintenance building.
Prior to joining The Hardy Group, Alan served as an Estimator and Senior Estimator, Project Manager and Senior Project Manager, Preconstruction Manager and District Preconstruction Manager for various companies including Nordic PCL Construction, Inc., Fletcher Pacific Construction, Western Engineering, Ltd., Isemoto Contracting Co., Ltd., and W.L. McNatt and Co. Alan has also served as a Principal/Construction Consultant for Blue Rock Construction Services, an Instructor for the Hawaii Carpenters Union at University of Hawaii, Hilo Community College and Owner/Contractor for Pan Pacific Construction Services, and Creative Construction Co.
Alan has extensive experience in preconstruction services, detailed cost estimating and scheduling, contract negotiation, construction management, client and consultant relations, and team leadership. He has worked on projects in the private and public sectors, new construction and renovation, high-rise, mid-rise, hospitality, education, healthcare, retail, residential, office, commercial, military, and industrial located throughout the state of Hawaii and in the Western Pacific on Guam, Saipan, Rota, Palau, and Kwajalein.
Alan holds a Certificate of Construction Estimating and a Construction Technology Degree from Oklahoma State University. Additionally, he has a Hawaii Contractor License – BC 25651.
