John joined The Hardy Group in 2012 as a Project Manager for the JW Marriott Marco Island Resort and Spa in Marco Island, Florida. HARDY has provided services on an ongoing basis for the resort since 1999. Most recently includes a brand change from Marriott to JW Marriott; Hurricane Irma Restorations; and the newly built Lanai Tower Suites. Over the years, HARDY has provided PM services for renovations and several new builds which includes the $85M/90-Day Project, guestrooms/suites, restaurants, kitchens, pools, public spaces, spa, a $48M Entertainment Center, fitness center, golf facilities, golf resort clubhouse and meeting/ballroom spaces.
Prior to joining HARDY, John was an owner and operator of Medpro Construction, Inc, a construction company for five years marketing his business and managing subcontractors for commercial and residential properties. Prior to that he was the Vice President of Chappell Summers & Associates, Inc., a real estate management company. He was responsible for the daily operations, financial analysis, and managing contractors. He was also involved in their subsidiary company, CS&A Construction, Inc. which renovated and/or built out over 100 physician offices to include pre-construction to completion.
John Has a Bachelor of the Arts in Business Administration / Majoring in Real Estate from Georgia State University. He was a Land Surveyor for both the United States Army and the South Carolina / Georgia National Guard.
