Liana Cassel

Liana joined the Hardy Group in 2022 with over 15 years’ experience in the Interior Design Hospitality, Commercial and Private Residential space. She has a particular interest in new concept food & beverage and boutique hotels, and a proven track record of successfully leading design firms through growth and development and design teams from concept through construction. Throughout her career Liana has worked for Gachot Studios, Jeffrey Beers International, AvroKO, Sky Studio/ Grey Box Design, ICRAVE, McKay Architecture/Design PLLC, and MSM Architects. Liana has managed a variety of hospitality projects including: The Brooklyn Tower in Brooklyn, NY, Shinola Hotel in Detroit, MI, the Eaton Hotel in DC, Hard Rock Riviera Maya, Playa Del Carmen Mexico, Coast and XO, MGM in Cotai, Macau, and Villard and Pomme Palais at the Palace Hotel in New York.

In her recent role at Gachot Studios, Liana served as a Senior Project Manager and Studio Director where she led the growth of the firm from 18 to 39 employees. Liana worked on recruitment and leadership, staff reorganization, project schedules and staffing allocation, coordination of senior staff, and implementation of management software. Additionally, she spearheaded business development efforts and worked on RFP review, proposal development and negotiation, coordination with the finance director on contract management, increased revenue, and additional services.

Liana has a Bachelor of Arts in English – Creative Writing degree from Cornell University and a Master of Architecture from Princeton University. She is a licensed architect and was an Adjunct Professors at Parsons, The New School of Design. Lastly, she is a Guest Critic for undergraduate and graduate Architectural Studio classes at Princeton University, Pratt University, New Jersey Institute of Technology, City College of New York, and Columbia University.
