Raj joined The Hardy Group in 2022 with over 25 years of experience as a private investor and operator of commercial real estate; including hospitality, senior housing, retail, office, and light industrial assets. Prior to joining The Hardy Group, Raj served as Principal/Managing Director at The Diwan Group, Pinnacle Real Estate Partner and a Principal at Noble Investment Group.
Raj brings his background as an entrepreneurial, detail oriented, real estate professional to The Hardy Group in his role as the company’s first Chief Investment Officer. His skills in real estate finance, investments and fundraising have laid the foundation for The Hardy Group’s new investment platform, Hardy Ventures. Raj has expertise throughout the real estate spectrum from deal inception, day-to-day operations to deal realization and exit. In his career, Raj has demonstrated success in navigating real estate organizations through several significant economic downturns, including the September 11th Attacks, the Great Financial Crisis, and the COVID-19 pandemic.
Raj earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, Chapel Hill, North Carolina and his Masters of Management in Hospitality (MMH) with a concentration in Real Estate and Finance from Cornell University, Ithaca, New York. Mr. Shah holds his North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA) Series 7, Series 63 and the Series 66 securities licenses (inactive).
