Managing Director Los Angeles & Hawaii

Ryan became a member of The Hardy Group in 2014, initially serving as a Project Director. Over the years, he advanced through the ranks, holding the positions of Senior Project Director, and presently, he holds the esteemed role of Managing Director for the West Coast and Hawaii. Upon assuming the role of Project Director in the Atlanta office, he brought with him substantial expertise in project management, construction management, and estimating, particularly in the realms of hotels, resorts, restaurants, convention centers, office spaces, retail, and residential projects. He played a comprehensive role in overseeing the entire project lifecycle, managing processes from programming and acquisitions to design, entitlements, procurement, and construction for all projects.

Ryan quickly transitioned to the newly established Honolulu office as a Project Director. While in Hawaii, he worked on projects such as, the Lana’i Four Seasons Resort Lanai, Lanai City, HI; and the Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa, Waikoloa Beach, HI. From there Ryan moved to HARDY’s Los Angeles Office where he worked on Hotel MdR, Marina Del Rey, CA; The Duniway Hotel and Jackrabbit PDX, Portland, OR; Yountville Vintage Estates, Yountville, CA and more.

Ryan was promoted to Senior Project Director in 2019 while overseeing the Hilton Austin Airport, Austin, TX; the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa, Sonoma, CA; San Jose Marriott in San Jose, CA; and the Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco in San Francisco, CA. In 2020, his experience was beckoned back in Hawaii, and he managed the project Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort, Wailea, HI; the Royal Sonesta Kaua’i Resort Lihue, Lihue, HI; and the Westin Maui Resort & Spa, Ka’anapali, Lahaina, HI.

Ryan was promoted to Managing Director in March 2022, overseeing HARDY projects on the Westcoast and Hawaii. As of December 2023, he is overseeing the renovations at W Hollywood, Hollywood, CA; Hyatt Regency Indian Wells resort & Spa, Indian Wells, CA; Omni San Diego, San Diego, CA; and Four Seasons Maui, Maui, HI.

Ryan received a Bachelor of Science from Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kansas and a Graduate Certificate in Construction Management from the University of Florida, Gainesville, FL. Ryan was also a regular volunteer for the Dekalb County Habitat for Humanity.
