Steve Bunetto

Steve joined The Hardy Group in 2022 with over 25 years of experience in high caliber operational positions. He has an excellent leadership background with proficiency building and training teams, including managing team members, one to one evaluation and developing employees towards full potential realization. When he joined HARDY he worked on the Highgate Portfolio, a program of approximately 200 hotels, for 1 year. In 2023, he transitioned to an on-site role at the Hyatt Indian Wells Resort & Spa and is working on the extensive renovation of 533 guestrooms, lobby and restaurant, meeting spaces, pools, spa and fitness center.

Steve’s career is marked with consistently exceptional performance, promotion, recognition and increasing responsibilities. He has held the title of Director of Capital projects and Facilities, Regional Facilities Manager, Regional Director of Facilities Management, and Director of Engineering. He has worked for a variety of companies including Midas Hospitality, Hawkeye Hotels, Marriott International, Whitelodging Services Inc., Westin Austin at The Domain, and Overland Park Marriott.

Prior to joining The Hardy Group, Steve was the Director of Capital Projects and Facilities for Midas Hospitality. He was in charge of maintaining 50 safe and fully functioning hotels while ensuring compliance with various federal, state, and local environmental, health, safety, operating and building codes, standards, and regulations. His main responsibilities included budgeting, PIP’s, Renovations, New Hotel openings. Capital Project forecasting, budgeting, contractor/vendor selection. In a five year span, he completed multiple multi-million dollar renovations, eight new openings, five acquisitions, and numerous due diligence walks for possible purchases. Additionally, he was involved in ground up construction, implemented maintenance program with standards and structure, and led pandemic recovery efforts for all hotels throughout COVID-19.
