Will joined The Hardy Group in 2005 and has served as the senior leader on one of the firm’s most significant long-term projects, the JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort in Marco Island, Florida. Over the past 17 years, Will has overseen more than $650 million in renovations and improvements at the resort, managing a wide range of renovations, expansions, facility upgrades, and sustainability initiatives across the resort, as well as two clubhouses and golf courses.
Will leads the overall project team, providing executive oversight for due diligence, project and construction management, consultant coordination, and project accounting. Under his leadership, the program has consistently delivered an average of $20–$30 million in annual capital improvements, ensuring the resort continues to evolve while maintaining the standards expected of a premier luxury destination.
Will brings over 40 years of experience across multiple sectors of the construction industry, including commercial, industrial, hospitality, power generation, and complex industrial facilities. He also has more than 30 years of experience managing disaster recovery projects, including large-scale responses to hurricanes, tornadoes, and floods.
Prior to joining HARDY, Will served as Chief Operating Officer of Ferguson Harbour, Inc., a Nashville-based firm specializing in emergency response, disaster recovery, environmental remediation, EPA Superfund sites, and DEA remediation projects. During his tenure, he played a key role in expanding the company from 10 offices generating $50 million in revenue to 40 offices managing $400 million in government and Fortune 100 contracts. Will has also spent several years working in the energy sector, supporting oil and gas exploration as well as the development and installation of natural gas storage and distribution facilities.
Will is deeply committed to his work and to advancing the built environment. He has authored papers for ULI on topics including business continuity, sustainability, and disaster recovery planning. He holds degrees in Business Administration and Business Law and dedicates his spare time to charitable initiatives and community improvement projects.
